Context

H5BP’s core mission is to provide a clean, robust baseline for the web. This repository must reflect the baseline of current web development. As of 2026, the front-end landscape has shifted radically.

Tasks

• Establish an "Archive" Strategy: Create a structured way to sunset/archive questions about legacy technologies (e.g., IE11 hacks, old floating layouts) without deleting the history.
• Modernization Sweep: Open a community call for PRs focusing on 2026 realities (e.g., Web Components, modern accessibility requirements, AI tooling integration in the dev workflow, advanced CSS grid/subgrid).
• Translation Health Check: Assess if the burden of supporting dozens of unmaintained translations is dragging down the velocity of updating the core English document. Consider archiving abandoned language forks.
